God’s Will Power
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness.—2 Peter 1:5-6 (NIV)
This time of year can test your self-control, whether it’s a decadent dessert that threatens your diet or overspending on the holiday season. A large part of self-control is about will power or more specifically, “God’s will” power. By focusing on Him and asking for His help and strength you can stand firm when you feel tempted.
Lead me today, Lord, into Your Light and away from my temptation.
