In Times of Hardship

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.—1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)

It may seem strange to be thankful for sorrow and
hardship, but even unavoidable and painful experiences
have an upside. Difficult times shine a lens on what
is truly important in your life. They are moments of
growth that teach valuable life lessons of compassion,
faith and understanding. Know that whatever you are
going through, Jesus is with you.

Heavenly Father, I am grateful for Your healing presence
in my life.

Though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.—Psalm 37:24 (ESV)

A woman prays at sunrise

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38–39 (NIV)
