Fellowship with the Lord
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowshp
is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.—1 John 1:3 (NIV)
O Lord God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O Lord, and your faithfulness surrounds you.—PSALM 89:8 NIV
Caregivers deal with far more people than just the loved ones they serve. We might team up with doctors, nurses, insurance company representatives, home-care workers, and others. Often we’re putting our trust in these people and the decisions they make very soon after meeting them.
We want reliable information. We want to know that what we’re doing (or what we’ve done) is correct. We want to be confident in each aspect of the caregiving process.
But life isn’t made up of “100 percents.” At times, we’ll receive wrong answers or pursue incorrect courses of action. We’ll have moments (or days) full of second-guessing. When that happens, how can we not drive ourselves crazy?
Here’s an idea: We can remember that the trust we place in God is never disappointed. Knowing His character, as defined in the Bible, will help us live with the unknowns of life. Believing in His love keeps us from feeling overwhelmed. Relying on His provision stops us from worrying.
Our Lord is faithful to both His Word and His children. We may not know what’s coming in the next moment—but we know for sure that God will be there. Depend on Him!
Heavenly Father, life is full of uncertainties. I thank You that I can always be confident of Your faithfulness.
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowshp
is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.—1 John 1:3 (NIV)
Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.—Leviticus 19:15 (NIV)
And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”—Exodus 34:6 (NIV)
