Password, Please

And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him].—ROMANS 8:17 AMP

Passwords are required everywhere, it seems: ATM machines, computer settings, bill paying. Passwords identify the user. They are intended to keep others out of our business. We’re urged to change them frequently to protect our identity.

Christians have but one password: Jesus. Once we acquire this password through salvation, we become heirs of God with Him. We’re children of the king. Precious saints. The Father gives us His own name to set us apart from the world.

Unlike computer or ATM passwords, this special name can never be compromised. We are safe and secure in the Father’s arms, able to access every gift promised. Read the scriptures to see all that is available to you as a believer: eternal life, provision, promise after promise, blessing upon blessing.

Do you have your password, ready to swing open the gates of heaven? It’s Jesus. Jesus, period. No other name is needed, no other combination.

You can take that to the bank.

Dear heavenly Father, today I choose to follow You. I give You my life, my all. Teach me Your ways and guard my heart.
