Praying in Secret
But when you pray, go into your room,
close the door and pray to your Father,
who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees
what is done in secret, will reward you.—Matthew 6:6 (NIV)
This verse invites you to find a place where no one
even knows you are praying, shut the door, and talk
to God in secret. There is spiritual power in intimate
prayer—in sharing deep thoughts and emotions. Keep
your words between you and God and enter into an
adventure that is uniquely yours.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being my trusted friend. I
long to know You better.
