God Chooses You
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.—1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.—John 15: 2 (NIV)
In today’s Bible verse, Jesus speaks of how God prunes us by cutting away things that are blocking Him from producing fruit in your life. Ask Him for the insight to see what needs to be plucked from your life—habits, bad thoughts, actions—so that You can follow His plan for your life.
Heavenly Father, help me prune my life so that I can grow closer to You.
