Released from our caregiving duties, we often find pockets of free time. Life has taken a new twist. Sometimes it leaves us on our own. Where do we go from here? What do we do now? God knows. He’s planned our future. Ask Him, and He’ll answer.
Don’t rush to fill up the empty hours. Don’t hurry to clear out closets and erase the memory of your loved one. Don’t make rash decisions. Wait upon the Lord. Give yourself time to find the new rhythm to your days. Breathe deeply of God’s goodness. Fill your heart with His kindness. Bask in His words. Rest in His care.
Slow your pulse and focus your attention on the Lord. Wait. It’s not an easy task when life’s been hectic. But it is a decision with a lifetime of rewards.
Our Father delights in pouring out mercy and grace. Bow before Him and receive His precious gifts. He will light your path and give you direction.
Father, the future looms and I’m not sure what to do. Give me wisdom and discernment. Help me to wait until I know Your will for my next steps.
