I never know what I will find when I go out to shoot which makes for a fun and exciting adventure. One of the places I occasionally photograph is Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia. Since there is a pond there, more than likely I will find birds.
This particular fall day I was looking for fall color and birds. I was glad I found both!
This final image did not start out this way. My morning began with me seeing a cute duck resting by the water’s edge. As I was photographing the duck, I saw something move into my camera’s frame. It was a Great Blue Heron.
I love when the Lord answers my prayers and sends to me what HE wants me to photograph.
I followed the heron for about 15 minutes until he walked up on the shore towards the woods. He was still for a moment, and I was able to capture the fall color behind him.
