Giving the Gift of Prayer

Time spent in prayer for someone else is the greatest gift anyone can give.

Are you searching for the perfect gift for someone you love? I am. I always have a hard time finding something in the stores for people who already have everything they need, like my husband. Every year my daughters and I search high and low for something different. Whatever we choose has to be secured in a box with very little wiggle room, because he likes to shake them to determine the contents before Christmas day.

No matter what we come up with, it only brings temporary joy. It soon loses its excitement and glamour. I wonder, though, about all of the people who would love to receive something that money can’t buy. Something that will last. Maybe just much-needed peace of mind. Having a life-changing experience is the best gift anyone can receive.

Imagine someone waking up on Christmas morning and no longer feeling depressed. There is a gift we can all give to those we love. It cannot be wrapped in pretty paper. It cannot packed in a box and shaken. But it can restore marital relationships. It can heal diseases. It can bring peace to a troubled heart and soul. It can do what no other gift can do. And all it costs you is some of your time.

Prayer is that gift. Time spent in prayer for someone else is the greatest gift anyone can give. Prayer is the catalyst to unlocking heaven’s blessings. Prayer is the gift that God allows us to give back to him on behalf of others. We have a direct line to God and God has a direct line to the person our gift is intended for. When we pray for someone, they know that we have given them our time. They know that we had them in our thoughts.

At OurPrayer, your prayer for someone else can make a difference. Give the gift of prayer. God freely gave us his son so that we could better understand what it means to give. Don’t delay. Think of the person who could best use this gift and join us for The Gift of Prayer Day of Prayer on December 12.

God bless you!
