For half a century, Guideposts has invited others to come together in fellowship and pray for the thousands of prayer requests received from all over the country during its annual Good Friday Day of Prayer event. It’s an uplifting day—filled with prayer, music and spiritual habits tips—all in celebration of the passion and death of Jesus.
“We have a powerful program to share with you,” says Ty’Ann Brown, Vice President of Ministries for Guideposts Outreach Division. “The incredible aspect of this event is that the power of prayer transcends space and time by virtually connecting people from all over the world to join in believing that God will answer in His sovereign time.”
Although previous Good Friday Day of Prayer events have taken place at the Peale Center in Pawling, NY, this year’s popular event will be held virtually—for the second year in a row—due to the ongoing pandemic. However, you can still be part of the program, which will take place at 1 pm ET on the OurPrayer Facebook page.
In addition to a powerful time of prayer, the live event will host guest speaker Mark Batterson, pastor and author of Win the Day and The Circle Maker. Batterson will be sharing words and wisdom from his latest book, Win the Day, in which he outlines seven daily habits you can follow to relieve stress and anxiety to accomplish your daily goals.
“Having special guests and speakers highlights the power of unity to stand in the gap for others in need,” says Brown.
We’ll also have the pleasure of listening to a spirit-filling performance from spoken word artist, Gloria Umanah.
The hour-long service is going to be rounded out with music from Mission Worship, from The Mission Church, live prayer, book giveaways and more. Please share prayer requests for yourself or your loved ones by clicking here.
