My 4-year-old son inspires me with his unquenchable thirst for new knowledge, his arms wide open embrace of life and his “baby” faith.

My 19-year-old son, Michael. He is in his first year of college at Tulane University, absolutely loving it and excelling in his course work. As a freshman, he’s taking a graduate level course in philosophy and eating it up. We called him on Saturday for his birthday and he just wanted to talk, for an hour, sharing his excitement about all that he is learning. I thank God for giving me the opportunity and trust to raise such a precious child of God. When so many young people leave home and leave their faith roots, my son has so strengthened his faith that he is making a public reaffirmation of Christ in his life. Thank you, God!

My husband inspires me! He is such a great spiritual leader and leader in general. My three sons look to him as a hero and he does not fail at that responsibility. He exemplifies God’s grace and understanding and works hard with true joy even during times of struggle. He motivates us all and keeps us in check. Words do not explain how much the Lord saved our marriage and how my husband took that covenant as serious as God intended it too.

My 14-year-old daughter Katie inspires me to be the best person I can be. She always reminds me that God loves us. I have a slue of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, and every day she helps me, and does it so cheerfully. She is truly God’s gift to me on a daily basis.

What’s inspiring me? My job/work. Because of my work, I can afford to help other people. A year ago, I sent a big box full of goodies to the teachers and poor students at a public grade school (my former public grade school) in my home country, Philippines. They said, even though I’m here now in a foreign country, I still remember them and I became a role model for those students I never met in person. That really inspired me!

Remember to check our Facebook page every Tuesday when we ask what’s inspiring you each week! You could end up in our Wednesday blog!
