I just arrived in exciting Branson, Missouri, after a visit to Bentonville, Arkansas, where I met with booksellers about my book Guideposts will be releasing next spring.
The drive over was gorgeous, winding through the Ozarks and the Mark Twain National Forest. Tomorrow, Saturday, I make an appearance at Silver Dollar City to honor the winners of our Inspirational Everyday Americans contest, held in cooperation with our good friends at SDC. We’ll celebrate the lighting of a five-story Christmas tree, listen to Christmas carols and have a Holiday Light Parade with the Inspirational Everyday Americans winners.
Afterwards I’ll sign copies of Guideposts’ Joys of Christmas 2010, our annual Christmas special edition that’s full of inspiring holiday stories and your favorite Guideposts features. It’ll be held at the SDC Culinary and Craft Center. If you’re in the area, drop by. The festivities start at 5 pm at Reunion Hall. I’d love to see you and share some of my favorite inspiring stories for Christmas. You can even join in the parade. Now excuse me while I do a little sightseeing in Branson. It’s one of my favorite places to visit.
