I’m baaaaaaaaack………….
From Europe and Oberammergau that is, none the worse for jet lag. Millie was delirious to see me (and I her), having never endured such a long absence on my part. I thought her tail was going to come off (mine would have if I had one, which I sometimes wish I did). Usually her greeting ritual is relatively brief. This time she carried on forever then kept me in sight for the rest of the evening lest I sneak off again. I’m posting a picture of Millie, happy.
Julee too was glad to see me but I can’t tell how much that might have had to do with the Sacher Torte I brought back from the Hotel Sacher in 
Vienna, Julee’s favorite. In fact I was instructed not to come home without it.
The greatest gifts I brought back from the Guideposts Inspiration Vacations Oberammergau Passion Play tour were the friendships I made with the wonderful and very special Guideposts readers on the tour. What a fun and inspiring bunch; and just as I suspected, as beautiful and 
uplifting as many of places we visited were, it was the people and their stories that were most inspiring of all. A special shout-out of appreciation to Bev and Hannie of Travel With Spirit for organizing this tour, and Miki and Stacy of Collette Tours for being such excellent guides and teachers. I miss all of you already.
At one of our last meals together, one woman said, “You know, I hate to throw my Guideposts out. I donate them to my church library.” Pretty soon everyone was sharing about what they do with their old Guideposts. I was delighted to find out 
that they are shared with neighbors, left in doctors’ waiting rooms, slipped into hotel room drawers next to the Bible, given to strangers, stacked up in a Laundromat. The list goes on. One couple, innkeepers Bev Davis and Rick Litchfield, who own the cozy Captain Lord Mansion in Kennebunkport, Maine, buy 20 subscriptions so they can put one in each room (note to self: no stories about haunted mansion in Maine).
That got me to thinking I should ask all of you: What do you do with your Guideposts when you are done with it? Please post below. I’m really interested.
What do I do with my Guideposts? Why, just recently I happened to leave one in a seatback pocket on an airplane, Air France Flight 10, from Paris to New York. One thing I’ve learned about Guideposts is that it travels well.
