I got a sneak preview at the Guideposts March cover story by Roma Downey. Years of watching her play an angel named Monica on Touched by an Angel forever put Roma’s voice—and beautiful Irish accent—in my head.
As I read her story, I heard her telling it to me herself. Turns out, she’s as good a storyteller as she is an actress, and angels remain close to her heart even if she’s no longer playing one on TV.
Now Roma is teaching preschoolers about angels in a brand new faith-based educational series of board books, DVDs and CDs. Little Angels follows the adventures of boy-and-girl twins Alex and Zoe, and their team of eight young guardian angels. The books feature practical life skills, traditional values and even an introduction to biblical wisdom. Plus, the bright illustrations of cute-as-a-button angels help bring these engaging stories of God’s love to life. I can’t imagine a preschooler who wouldn’t be enchanted.
Roma Downey, where were you when I was looking for an angels series for my little ones? Oh, that’s right, she was still playing Monica on TV!
