There’s nothing better than a few hours in a cool movie theater on a hot summer day. Luckily, this summer there are plenty of uplifting, funny movies to entertain film-lovers of all ages.

1 ^{of 6} Toy Story 4 (June 19)

The fourth movie in Disney’s beloved series follows Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Buzz (voiced by Tim Allen) and the gang, as they try to take care of their new child Madeline and their friends. Poignant and funny, this is a crowd-pleaser for children and adults alike.

2 ^{of 6} Yesterday (June 28)

Beatles’ fans will love this creative re-imagining of the band’s music. Jack (Himesh Patel), is a musician with no career prospects. His life changes overnight when he wakes up from an accident to a world where no one has heard of The Beatles. Jack rockets to fame by stealing their songs, but risks losing those closest to him along the way.

This CGI-remake of the classic animated film features the voice talents of Donald Glover as Simba, Seth Rogan as Pumbaa and Beyonce as Nala. The hyper-realistic animation and moving story of a son struggling with his identity after the loss of his father is sure to be a huge hit.

5 ^{of 6} The Art of Racing in the Rain (August 9)

Dog-lovers will enjoy this movie version of the best-selling book, The Art of Racing in the Rain. Told from the point of view of a dog, Enzo (voiced by Kevin Costner), it follows a race car driver as he finds love, starts a family and chases his dream.

Isabel Moner stars as Dora in this slightly grown-up adaptation of the classic Nickelodeon children’s series. When Dora’s parents go exploring to find a lost city, Dora and her cousin, Diego, are kidnapped by people competing to find the same city. Fans of the show will love seeing this bilingual family on the big screen.
