Nancy Sleeth charmed some starving college students with her tasty Vegetable Barley Soup. Now take a crack at her scrumptious Honey Whole Wheat bread!
Ingredients
1½ cups warm water
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons honey (use raw honey if possible)
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups white flour
2 cups whole-wheat flour
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
2 teaspoons yeast
Preparation
1. Place all ingredients, except yeast, in Breadmaker pan in the order given. Make an indentation in flour and add yeast.
2. Set Breadmaker to “whole wheat.” Use “light crust” option when available.
