This snack mix is great for your Super Bowl party—or any day of the week!
Whether you have a salty or sweet tooth, this treat will satisfy your taste buds. The long cooking time is well worth it.
Ingredients
3 c. Rice Chex | 3 c. Wheat Chex |
3 c. Corn Chex | 3 c. Kix |
3 c. Cheerios | 3 c. thin pretzels |
1 lb. mixed nuts (3 c.) | ½ lb. party peanuts (1 ⅔ c.) |
½ c. canola oil | ½ c. bacon fat, melted |
½ c. butter, melted | 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce |
1 Tbsp. allspice | 1 tsp. celery salt |
1 Tbsp. Accent flavor enhancer (optional) | 1 ½ tsp. garlic powder |
¼ tsp. red pepper (optional) |
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 200°F. Place all dry ingredients in a large roasting pan.
2. Mix oils, Worcestershire sauce and spices, pour over dry ingredients and stir well.
3. Bake for four hours, basting every 20 minutes.
