My colleague Brooke Obie recently came back from an amazing trip to the Holy Land.
The other day, she stopped by my desk to share a photo of her trip.
“My favorite part of the trip was the Sea of Galilee,” she told me. “Look at this photo that someone took of me while I was there.”
I gasped when I saw the photo. There was Brooke standing on the shores of Galilee. Behind her was a strange blurriness. Almost like a halo or force field of some sort.
“I don’t know,” Brooke said. “It could just be the camera…”
But, then again, maybe the camera picked up on something else.
I was lucky enough to travel to Israel a few years ago with my family. The Sea of Galilee was, without a doubt, the most beautiful, peaceful place I’ve ever been to. One of those few places where you could actually sense God’s presence.
Even, perhaps, on camera!
What about you? Have you ever been transformed by a spiritual place or travels to somewhere far, far away?
