Images of Italy

We have seen so much history and art and culture, hidden-away little churches and magnificent cathedrals…

The Duomo in gorgeous Siena

Last time I checked in, the Reflections of Italy tour was getting under way in Rome. Just a few days ago, right? In a way, it feels like centuries.

We have seen so much history and art and culture, beautiful, hidden-away little churches and magnificent Renaissance cathedrals, the whispers and shouts of Christendom. After visiting the Colosseum, we saw Michelangelo’s beautiful dome of St. Peter’s and the incomparable Sistine Chapel.

We moved on to Assisi, Perugia and Siena. Now we have arrived in Florence, the wellspring of the Renaissance. Rather than write anything more, I think I will just let some photos I took speak for themselves. I’ll check in again from Venice.

Before I go, I would be remiss if I didn’t thank our fantastic tour guides from Collette Vacations, Christina and Paul, and the wonderful, inspiring group of Guideposts readers they are taking such good care of. Ciao for now.
