Down to Earth: The Joys of Christmas

We’ve spent all summer looking for the best Christmas stories ever to make the 2011 edition a timeless keepsake.

Editor Colleen Hughes

Christmas comes twice a year here at Guideposts and Angels on Earth. There’s everybody’s Christmas in December with caroling and presents, church bells and family. Then there’s our own summertime Christmastime, in the office, when the staff puts together Guideposts’ The Joys of Christmas.

We’re on our third year of our full-size, full-color, 84-page holiday publication. That first year, we just hoped people would like it as much as we did. The Joys of Christmas turned out to be so popular we actually sold out of copies—and Angels readers bought more than anyone, not just for themselves, but as gifts for family and friends. So we decided to put together a brand-new edition every year, thanks to you.

Now we’re sure to print enough copies for everyone. We’ve spent all summer looking for the best Christmas stories ever to make the 2011 edition a timeless keepsake. Join us in celebrating the Joy of Children, the Joy of Traditions, the Joy of Holiday Cooking and the Joy of Miracles (look for the angel in that section!).

You’ll also find Guideposts Classics and never-told stories, time-honored customs and surprising new ideas. Plus, the original art, moving poetry and inspiring quotations are sure to delight all year round. We like to think The Joys of Christmas 2011 is a perfect blend of Christmas past, Christmas present and Christmas future.

We hope The Joys of Christmas 2011 will create new Christmas memories in your house—and inspire you to share them with us, your Guideposts family, no matter what time of year!
