Moving Mountains

What mountain are we trying to climb, but the task ahead just seems too big? If the Lord asked you to do it, He will give you the strength to finish the task. May we not give up and quit!

Washington Farms in Watkinsville, Georgia is a neat, family-oriented place to visit. This past fall, I blogged about going there to buy a pumpkin and take some photographs. Besides the pumpkin, I bought two very large, beautiful sunflowers and gave one to my daughter and kept one for myself.

For some reason, I was surprised to find ladybugs on the flowers, but once I noticed, I was focused on photographing them. They were scurrying about on the huge flowers, which seemed to dwarf their size. What seems like a mountain to the ladybug is really just a small petal.

What mountain are we trying to climb, but the task ahead just seems too big? If the Lord asked you to do it, He will give you the strength to finish the task. May we not give up and quit!

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” (Matthew 17:20, NLT)
