[MUSIC PLAYING] God has truly blessed us. And we recognize that this isn’t the case for everyone. Today, eight-year-old Aiden and his 10-year-old sister, Leilani, will get a free lunch at school. For many children like Aiden and Leilani, school meals are the only source of healthy food that they will get on a daily basis. One in five children in our nation live at risk of hunger. For every six low income children who receive a school lunch, only about half also get a school breakfast and only one also gets a free meal in the summer.
This is why OurPrayer is so excited to announce our partnership with Bread for the World, a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. We are committed to praying the week of October 12th. And during this time, we invite you to join us in praying to end hunger by 2030.
