Life’s trivial details can take up your time and impede you from reaching your goals and dreams. If you find yourself off track, ask God for His guidance. Are you in line with His will, or have you let the little things crowd Him out?

Sit in God’s presence. Find a place away from the noise of life and spend time with Him. Give yourself permission to recharge, to let the to-do list go and sit at His feet. Making this devotional practice a habit will change the way you manage stress.

When you develop your faith and trust in God, you can relax and enjoy life. Sometimes the road ahead is predictable and planned. Other times, thrilling or unnerving detours arise. When unexpected turns appear, trust His plan.

When you pray for God to change a difficult situation, you must be willing to give yourself in any way that might help resolve it. If you have been asking Him to help with a personal problem, allow His directions to shape your actions.

Today as you celebrate Father’s Day, thank your Heavenly Father for supporting you and being there to help and comfort you. Know that by the power of His Spirit, all things are possible—and with Him on your side, you will always be fine.

No matter what loss you are facing, because of Jesus you can have hope. God promises that He can heal your pain and help you recover from grief; He is making a way for you.

Every day, we trust and have faith in things we cannot see. Our very beliefs determine the world we choose to live in. As Dr. Norman Vincent Peale famously said, “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” What are you thinking about?

Be patient with your feelings. Responding to someone in the heat of the moment can escalate situations that could be avoided with time. When your impulse is to immediately respond, wait a minute or two. Pray for your words to bring healing.

Do you have a long list of questions for when you get to heaven? Experiences and situations that you just can’t understand—the whys that are beyond your comprehension? Pray for patience. In the words of poet Rainer Maria Rilke, “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.”

Alleluia! What a fitting and fun word to say, to sing, to embody. Today, say it out loud. Shout it out in your house, in the car, when you see a gorgeous sunset. Let it fill you like a deep cleansing breath. Praise Him for all He is!

Let go of the fear of making mistakes, and accept that trial and error is a part of life and learning. God is the creator, the whisperer of new ideas, inventions and relationships. Listen to Him, let go of judgment and allow yourself to make new mistakes.

God is with you, even when life’s chaos overshadows your focus on Him. His light shines on your life, on every single situation you face. There is no need to worry or feel vulnerable because you are not alone.
