Follmer Family 7 UP Cake

Here’s a tasty Southern treat the whole family will enjoy.

Here’s a favorite dessert recipe from our family to yours.

Ingredients

Cake
1 box yellow cake mix
1 small package of instant vanilla pudding
10 oz. 7 UP
½ c. vegetable oil
4 eggs
 
Topping
1 ½ c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
2 eggs
2.5 oz. unsweetened coconut flakes

Cake Preparation

1. Mix the cake mix, vegetable oil, and pudding.

2. Add four eggs and 7 UP.

3. Bake in a greased 9×13” cake pan at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Set aside cake to cool.

Topping Preparation

1. Stir sugar, butter, pineapple and eggs in a saucepan over medium heat until thick.

2. Once thickened, stir in coconut and spread on cake.

Makes 12 servings.
