The skies cracked open with a large beam of light pushing through the stormy clouds. I was driving but had to stop and photograph the beautiful sight before me.
Clouds have always fascinated me, and I am glad the Lord created them. I love gazing at them—they bring me closer to my Creator.
When I look at this photograph, it reminds me of Josh Wilson’s song, “Pushing Back the Dark.” The song has resonated with me recently as I continue to seek the Lord’s will for my life.
Whatever you are going through, no matter how hard, keep pressing forward and push back the dark. Ask the Lord for His wisdom and strength. He is our Heavenly Father and cares for us very much. We are not alone.
When we follow Him, we have the light of life inside us. He is our light. “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12, NIV)
