Puppies put a smile on just about everyone’s face, right? Watch the video above to see the smiles when Carl and Peggy Backus make their weekly stop at Good Samaritan Society – Lake Forest Village in Denton, Texas.

Volunteers like Carl and Peggy visit our 200 locations in 24 states every day and bring joy to the lives of our residents.

Some of our volunteers play music for our residents. Others are good at games. Some just like to talk and spend time listening. It really doesn’t matter what your skill set is. If you want to share your love and compassion, contact us.

Carl and Peggy both had parents who lived in a community like Good Samaritan Society – Lake Forest Village. They figured since their dogs bring them so much joy, why not share that joy with others?
