[MUSIC PLAYING] Do you worry a lot? Or maybe sometimes, you spend your time worrying about your problems? What is worry? Worry’s an unhealthy, destructive mental habit.
See, you and I were not born with a worry habit. Over time, we developed it. In the same way we develop it, with God’s help, we can break it. And here are some tips to help you address your worry habit.
First, recognize it is a mental habit. And like any other habit, God can help you to break it. Second, pray. Let God know your concerns, your worries, what is it that’s bothering you– release it, and give it over to God.
Third, take your Bible, and mark all the passages in the scripture that talk about faith and hope and love and joy. Fourth, get and develop a gratitude attitude. It is the best thing for your spirit. Thank the Lord for all the things that God has done in your life. And as you thank God, you’ll begin to be lifted up and see God’s goodness and God’s grace.
These habits, if you practice them on a daily basis, will transform that worry into a positive, affirming faith. The power of faith can help you get through it. And believe me, we all can use God’s help so that we could be more positive in our outlook and the way we live our lives. Break the habit in the power and through the power of faith.
