On this day we celebrate the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection. Easter is here and with it the most important message of all time. Because of Him, you do not need to be afraid of anything—not life with its uncertainties, not even death itself.
Almighty Jesus, You lifted the veil of darkness and filled the world with light.

Spend this quiet day between Good Friday and Easter as a day of reflection. think of the many ways Jesus reveals Himself as merciful, gracious, and full of faithful love, opening the way to eternal life for all who trust in Him.
Lord Jesus, You gave Your life for the salvation of the world.
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.—Luke 23:46 (NIV)
Jesus’ last words are a beautiful prayer of trust and surrender. He was tortured and mere moments from death when He called out to God a prayer of unwavering faith. He didn’t whisper or think the words; He called out in a loud voice.
Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.—John 15:4 (NKJV)
At the Last Supper, Jesus told His disciples to abide in Him. abiding in Christ is to allow Him in. Fill your mind with His Word and let His instructions direct your actions. Stay connected to Him.
Lord, on this Maundy Thursday, I long to live in Your presence, knowing that my relationship with You is the most important relationship in my life.

When things look dark or you are uncertain of the best course of action, instead of relying on your perception of the situation, turn to prayer. God has perfect vision. trust that He has everything under control.
Lord, the more I depend on You, the easier my life becomes.
And he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”—Mark 14:36 (ESV)
Do you limit your prayers by holding back on asking God for help or by not praying for something that would really bring you joy? Take a moment and think about why you aren’t bringing these requests to Him.
Heavenly Father, I know that You care for me. Today I am going to share my deepest worries and dreams with You and trust that You know what is best for me.
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”—Luke 23:34 NIV
Even as Jesus faced unbearable suffering, He focused His prayers on the people hurting Him. Instead of calling out for wrath and destruction, Jesus called for mercy. His compassionate prayer amidst torture is proof of God’s absolute love for each one of us.
Lord Jesus, thank You for all that you endured on the cross for me. Every moment of every day, I grow a deeper understanding of the depth of Your love.

Today is Palm Sunday, the first day of the most holy, grief-stricken and ultimately joyous week of the year. As you hold palm fronds in your hands, it’s the perfect time to rededicate your commitment to God.

The Bible is filled with amazing details like the one in the above verse. at 969 years old, Methuselah was the oldest man in the Bible. Yet the most amazing part of reading the Bible is what happens when the spirit of God speaks directly to your heart through His Word.
Lord, Your Word is alive, and I am blessed to have it working in my life.

When things go wrong, or not as you had planned, turn to this scripture. God is the upholder of life. He can mend the broken pieces and help you find your way. Entrust Him with your problems and ask Him to give you clarity on a troubling situation.
