Stay on Track

Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.—Psalm 119:129 (NIV)

At one time or another, you might turn away from God’s guidance and the teaching of His Word. Yet you know deep in your heart that your life has purpose and order when you follow His instructions. If you feel yourself drifting from Him, remind yourself of the joy that comes from staying connected.

Gracious God, give me a wise and discerning heart. Help me to stay on track.

Future Blessings

Then Hannah prayed: My heart rejoices in the Lord. My strength rises up in the Lord! My mouth mocks my enemies because I rejoice in your deliverance.—1 Samuel 2:1 (CEB)

Even when it seems your prayers go unanswered, God’s grace is still operating in your life. Instead of feeling down or doubting His help, offer up praise of thanksgiving for blessings to come. Trust that God is faithful and always has your best interest at heart.

Lord, I know that You hear my prayers and that they are always answered according to Your will.

The Highest Form

Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.—1 Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV)

God has called you to share His love with others. Just as the apostle Paul was placed in communities to help them experience His divine kindness, you, too, are called to help others on their faith journeys. Be a beacon—show others the way.

Heavenly Father, I long to be more like You.

Acknowledge God

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.—Psalm 91:11–12 (NIV)

In the above verse, the devil misquotes scripture to tempt Jesus, deliberately leaving out “to keep you in all your ways.” it has been said that this exemption is a faith-filled lesson—as followers of God, we must acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He will direct and protect us.

Heavenly Father, I know that You are supporting me, even when my fears try to convince me I am alone on my journey.

The Burden of the Word

The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi.—Malachi 1:1 (NKJV)

The name Malachi means “my messenger.” This verse shows the responsibility of carrying the weight of God’s message. Being a follower of God isn’t a burden; it is a testament to the importance of the message that His servants carry.

Lord, I willingly hold Your messages deep in my heart and will follow Your guiding Word. I understand the great importance You hold in my life.

Jesus’ Prayer of Trust

Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.—Luke 23:46 (NIV)

Jesus’ last words are a beautiful prayer of trust and surrender. He was tortured and mere moments from death when He called out to God a prayer of unwavering faith. He didn’t whisper or think the words; He called out in a loud voice.

Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.

Abide in Me
