Wrestling with God

Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”—Genesis 32:28 (NIV)
Jacob needed to escape the wrongdoings of his past. He began the night upset and fearful of tomorrow—yet after wrestling with God he was blessed with a new  destiny. When you are struggling with God, know that He will bless you. He will bring you peace.
Dear Lord, in the words of Jacob, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

Peter’s weakness took control. If your emotions are leading you down the wrong path, pray and ask God to help set you straight.
